In memory of children died of neglect or abuse while under the care of the social service agencies!

These children died needlessly, they deserve at least one minute of silent contemplation and an entire day of honor and remembrance.
Let's NOT allow these precious children's death to be in vain - in the news one day, forgotten the next.

In memory of children died of neglect or abuse while under the care of the social service agencies! Many died suspiciously or from neglect. Most of their lives and deaths went unnoticed. The deaths of these children - and what government agencies did or didn't do to save their lives - Even when they die, their stories are rarely told. May the spirits of those lost rest in peace and may we never forget or ignore what happened to them.

"The foster care system is totally obsolete. Kids are being killed, abused and even experimented on.At age 18, they are aged out of the system, they give them $5 and a bag of lunch and say go live your life. Most of these kids end up in trouble, jail, or a mental institution. All the kids in the group homes, juvenile detention centers and over half of the people in prison overall come from the foster care system." By Darryl "DMC" McDaniels

"... these children throw their despair and distrust into a black plastic trash bag, along with their few belongings, and head off to the next place... the next let-down. They are abused and neglected long before they ever reach our abusive and neglectful foster care system - and once in, things often only get worse. Children are dying, Mr. Speaker, inside and out... and it's our fault." By Tom DeLay

Understand that some of these sites are biased and one sided! But, the basic information is substantially correct!

This first one is the one that hurts me the most to view!

They are the stories no one wants to hear — children, abused and neglected, some to the point of death. Many of them must leave their families to go into shelters or foster care. Often these children leave their homes with only a garbage bag to hold their clothes and favorite toys, the most are routinely tossed from one temporary placement to another, often ten or twenty times during their most formative, vulnerable years. This is the continuing saga of crimes against Foster children.

Parents victimized by children’s protective services  Throughout North America, social workers employed by children’s protective services are hopelessly overworked. There are over three million reports of alleged child abuse and neglect each year in the U.S. Two million of them are found to be without foundation; each of the remainder has to be thoroughly investigated by an insufficient numbers of workers who have inadequate support and often have inadequate training. The stakes are high! CPS workers are required to make judgments that seriously affect each family on their case load. When CPS workers take a child into protection, they generate much animosity and family disruption. However, if they leave a child in a family where it is subsequently abused, then the CPS workers are severely criticized.
